Ashlyn's 1st Soccer Win
Well today Grandma Smith was able to make it to Ashlyn's soccer game. This was the game to watch. Not only was this the game that she started as goalie, but it was the game that her team won. They have been playing their hearts out and needed a win to help boost their confidence. Most of her team has never even played before this season. Ashlyn does an excellent job as goalie and loves to play that position. She begs her Coach/Dad to let her play every time, but he is trying to play other girls in that position so they can learn to be a well rounded players. I was so into the game that I only took about three pictures of her. I didn't even video tape her.

I will have to do better as the season goes on. I know Noah will be putting her in as goalie again, because she Rocked!

Autumn being Creative
Autumn has been coloring and drawing some really cool pictures lately. Her pictures are so detailed. Here is a card she drew for her friend Nick's birthday party. Noah and I were very impressed by it. She drew her and Nick at Disneyland. With Peter Pan, Tinker bell. Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and Nick's twin brothers in a double stroller just like their mom pushes them in. It was great. Friday, August 14, 2009
My Aubrey
Aubrey has been very entertaining lately.
She hangs out with me all day while the girls are in school and makes me laugh every day. She says and does the most hilarious things.
The other day Aubrey was watching Ni Hao Kai-lan. They asked "Would you like to go to China with us? Aubrey yells "No, I can't!"
She loves to dance. The other day while I was cleaning and playing music I caught her dancing around the living room. She made me stop my cleaning so I could dance with her. She must have danced for an hour before finally resting on the couch.

She has also been letting us know what songs she likes or dislikes in the car. She has her favorites and will say that's my favorite song. She will also yell at us if she doesn't like it.
She loved playing with stuffed animals and attaches her self to one pet and plays with it all day long. One day I heard her laughing and ran to see what was so funny. I found her with Maui the Rhino. She had dressed her all up and was having a blast playing with her. Silly girl.

The other night she was whining because she didn't want to go to bed. I asked her why and she said "because I need my people" surprised I asked "Your people?" "Who are your people?" she said "Mom, Dad, Ashlyn, and Autumn." I guess she like to sleep family style.

Last Day in Tahoe
On Sunday everyone in our family was feeling much better. Aubrey was back to her old self. Thank goodness. She played so hard she got all dirty and we all started to call her our little brown bear.
She didn't like that to much.
We spent the morning getting things packed up and taking our family pictures.
We always take one with Noah's family too.
Then we headed to the Great Gatsby Festival. This is a free event that is done every Summer in August. It gives you a feel of American life in the 1920s. The Festival featured period cars, fashions, children games, entertainment, and food to recreate every aspect of life during the age of flappers, prohibition, bootleggers and jazz. The Great Gatsby Festival is held at the 74-acre Tallac Historic Site.
We enjoyed touring some of the houses, looking at the old classic cars,

checking out a washing machine demonstration on how a washer worked,

and the pie eating contest.

Our niece Kylee ended up winning the whole thing.
We had a blast and our kids did too. It was a great way to end our short Tahoe trip.

Tahoe Camput
1st off we ended up making it to Noah's mom's house to pick her up, but Autumn started to complain of the same thing Ashlyn did on Thursday. I stayed at my mother-in-laws house with Autumn so that she can rest and feel better. Noah, his mom, Ashlyn and Aubrey headed to Tahoe for the camp out.
2nd many of you know that we have been going to our nieces bladder exstrophy camp out for almost 10 years now. We help and support the family as they help other families that have children or themselves with this birth defect.
So this camp out is to have fun, but also to be there for the family. Noah said the girls did awesome on Friday night. They got there set up camp, played, ate dinner, played bingo and won prizes, sang campfire songs, roasted marshmallows, and played the getting to know you game. Meanwhile I stayed by Autumn's side giving her medicine for her massive headache and tried to rest myself.
On Saturday Autumn woke up happy and ready to go to Tahoe for the camp out. We left at 8:30 am and drove the hour or so up there making it on time for the games. Noah was concerned, because Aubrey was a little cranky and tired. We played the group games and had a fun time.
Then we went back to camp to help with the crafts for the kids while the parents had a special guest speaker talk to them.

About this time Aubrey became clingy and attached her self to me. She started to complain of a headache and I was prepared to head back to Noah's mom until she fell asleep.
We managed to make it to the lake to play, but only with Ashlyn ans Autumn. Aubrey stayed with grandma and slept. She was definitely not feeling well , but was not as bad as her sisters. The girls did have a wonderful time playing in the sand and being with family.

By dinner time she perked up a little. We had another fun night with bingo, songs, and smores. The girls were ready to go to bed after such a long fun day.
Aubrey went to bed without any problems. She did great and slept all night(although I was prepared to be up all night).

One of Those Weeks
We all have had one of those weeks and this is my week. On Sunday my Autumn stayed home from church, because she was not feeling well and running a fever. Then I get a call from the school Monday because Ashlyn had the same symptoms. Then on Tuesday my Aubrey got whatever the girls had. I was grateful on Wednesday when it looked like all was clear.
We have plans to go to Tahoe this weekend and I need to get our stuff together. Well last night around midnight Ashlyn woke up complaining of a bad headache and tummy hurting as a result. It didn't take her to long before she had to run to the bathroom. All day today she has been complaining of a horrible headache so I took her to the doctors this afternoon. They are pretty sure it is different virus that attacked her earlier this week. I hope no one else get sick. We are planing on leaving in the morning for Tahoe if all is well.

Sending Amber Home
Saturday afternoon we headed to San Fransisco to play a little before my sisters flight left. We went to Fisherman's Wharf where we ate at Joe's Crab Shack.
It was yummy and the kids always have fun. They love to dance to the music.
My sister looked for a souvenir to take home from San Fransisco after dinner. She bought a hat and was able to get a panoramic view of the city from our parking spot at the top of the parking garage.
And that is about all we had time for, because we needed to head to the airport so that she could make her flight. It was a bummer we ran out of time because we had planned to go get ice cream at Ghirardelli Square. Oh well, next time.
