Let the Games Begin
This year we signed the girls up for soccer. Noah also volunteered to help be an assistant coach for one or both teams. Well some how he ended up being the head coach for Ashlyn's team and being the aistant coach for Autumn's team. They are really excited. They want to go outside and practice every night with him. Noah had to go to an all day coaching class for both U6 and U9 girls. He has been trying out all the cool games he learned, out on the girls.
Even little Aubrey has gottten into the soccer fever.

We have our 1st practice in a few days and our 1st game starts Aug. 1st. It should be a busy, but fun soccer year. Especially since this will be Autumn's 1st year playing.

Jelly Belly Tour
A group of us decided to take our little ones to the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield for the free tour. We drove over together and got in the long line to go inside for the tour.
While we waited for the tour the girls and their friends saw Mr. Jelly Belly, all the fun decorations, and got all excited to see how Jelly Belly's are made.

They gave us cool hats to wear on the tour and no pictures were allowed after that.

When our tour was complete we ate some lunch. Ashlyn and Aubrey shared a Jelly Belly shaped pizza and Autumn got Jelly Belly shapped chicken nuggets. We bought some goodeies at the store and then took pictures of all the kids out front. We really liked the tour and had a fun time together.

The Swim Lagoon
One of our favorite places to go in the summer is Contra Loma Regional Park Swim Lagoon. The lake's swim lagoon is like a pool except it has a sandy beach. There is an area with grass to sit and watch the kids. This year they even added some shade. The girls and I went with a group of friends and had a great time together. They played in the sand and swam for about 5 hours. What a was a fun summer day.

4th of July
On this wonderful day of celebrating our freedom we were busy enjoying it with some fun activities. It all started at 8am when we went to the 4th of July pancake breakfast. It was one of the best breakfast we have ever had complete with bacon, eggs, hash browns, milk, apple and orange juice. They had a flag ceremony and races for the kids to play.
On our way home we went by the farmers market to pick up some fresh locally grown fruit. Once we got home and ate some of our goodies we just bought we started to get our stuff ready for the afternoon neighborhood block party. Tristan made brownies, I made ice cream, the little ones took a nap, and Noah gathered all the chairs, towels, and other supplies needed for the party. Our neighborhood got permission from the city to close the street down for the day. We have a park by our home so we used that as the gathering place. We had a local burger shop supply all the hamburgers, hotdogs, and buns at a great price. They even lent us their grill which is a coffin made into a grill.
There was a bouncehouse/waterslide, waterballons, basketball hoop and place to ride bikes.

One of the neighbors even opened her pool for everyone to use. The kids had a great time going from thing to thing playing with all the kids.

They got int the spirit of liberty by running around the park with flags and singing the star spangled banner.
That evening the fireworks were shot off from the High School wich is located directly across the street from the park. We had a great view and a wonderful time together.

Pre 4th Fun
We had some early 4th of July fun when Noah came home early and his mom came over with some of the cousins to join us for the weekend. They played in the house and ate some yummy ice cream. Aubrey and Preston especially had a great time together.
Then we took them to the pool. Everyone had a great time playing in the pool all afternoon.
I know Noah was glad to be back and had a good time playing with the kids.
We came back home ate dinner and the kids played on the PlayStation and computer.
Then they went off to bed early for rest before another busy day.

A Little Summertime Fun
Noah left to go with the scouts on a High Adventure camp for the week. We will miss him a lot, but have been trying to keep ourselves busy with some fun activities, so we don't miss him as much. We have gone swimming almost everyday this week,
been to the free movie to see The Tale of Despereaux, let Autumn have her friend over to play,
enjoyed making our own swimming pool in the backyard,
and have enjoyed watching movies with the girls.
We have family coming over on Friday to spend the 4th of July with us. So I will have company until Noah gets back. It has been fun,but it will be nice to have our Dad back.
