Maui Day 5 and 6

Saturday July 5th the girls, grandma, my sister-in-law Rachel and her son Loagan and I got up early to shop the local swap meet. I have shopped this before and they have some awesome deals. We shopped until noon getting jewlery, clothes, fruit, music CDs, and other fun take home items. We ate some lunch at Mc Donalds and then waited for Noah and my brother-in-law Kurt, who went snorkeling at Ho'onolua Bay, to join up with us. While we waited we did some time shopping at the Queen Kahamia Mall.

When we finally joined up with Noah, his mom, the girls, and I went to explore South Maui. We started in Kihei, droving along the ocean through Waile, and to Makena. We saw some of the nicest resorts and golf courses in Maui. We stopped to check out Makena Beach and Big Beach both were very nice. We drove to La Perouse Bay which is at end of the road and as far as we could travel by car in South Maui. As we drove we passed lava fields. On the hill there is a split lava mound this is where the last eruption on Maui took place. La Perouse is well know for the wind and dolphins we only encountered the wind.

Sunday July 6th we went to church in Lahaina. It was really nice and the girls had a great time in Primary. We had the view of the ocean from the front doors which was pretty awesome, but distracting. We went back to the condo to rest and organize our room. After dinner we drove up north from our condo to see the sights on west side of Maui. There are some pretty cool things to see here, but we didn't really get out to see them . We will be back up that way another day. We did see another beautiful sunset though.
